Who can take the course?
The course is open to anyone over 18, who is based in the UK, Europe, US or Canada.
How much does it cost?
The Group Therapy Course costs £90 for six weeks. This is paid before the programme starts. This works out at £15 per session, which is much more affordable than a regular individual therapy (that costs on average £45). Our aim is to make the course as affordable as possible.
For those in Europe, Canada & the US you will be charged the equivalent in your local currency. We don't currently accept insurance payments.
What if I've never had therapy before?
This course has been designed to help everyone, no matter who you lost, how you lost them or whether you've had therapy before.
How many people will be in my group?
Anywhere between 8-12 people will be in your group. You'll meet face to face via video calls for group therapy and have the chance to speak more between sessions via a private group chat.
How will this group help me?
The group will help you learn more about your loss, offer the opportunity to share your thoughts and feelings, and to get and give support to others who understand. It is a group to connect with yourself and others - supported by trained therapists. Useful coping strategies often come from attending a group, but this is usually achieved through a deepening understanding of yourself through contact with, and feedback from, other people who relate. The group programme is based upon cognitive-behavioural principles. Loss is a highly individual experience; there's no right or wrong way to grieve. This group invites you to think, talk and share experiences.
I am nervous, can I still sign up?
It is very normal to feel nervous about attending a group session. It can be scary to seek support, and to share and hear from others. Our therapists will be aware of this and can support you. We have had a lot of feedback from people about how nervous they had been to attend but how beneficial they found it.
I need help urgently, where can I get this?
Untangle does not provide crisis support. If you are in crisis you can call and speak to someone at Samaritans 24/7 on 116 123.
